The short version

Run the workflow yourself,
or describe the job.

Choose n8n when you want to own the automation: self-host the fair-code Community edition on your own servers, mix visual nodes with JavaScript and Python, and run fixed workflows that behave the same way every time, with n8n Cloud counting whole workflow executions rather than steps or seats.

Choose SpringBrand as your n8n alternative when the job changes from run to run — research, reporting, screening or writing — and you would rather describe it once in chat and get a hosted agent that runs on schedule, posts results to Slack, Microsoft Teams or Lark, and gets better every run.

Many teams use both: n8n for deterministic plumbing such as webhooks and data syncs, SpringBrand for the jobs that need judgment.

Fair-code workflow automation
How do I build an agent?Describe the job in chat and confirm the setup SpringBrand proposes, or fill in instructions, data sources, connected apps and skills in a form; no workflow to draw.Add the AI Agent node, built on LangChain, to a workflow on the node-based canvas; it needs a chat model plus at least one tool sub-node, and JavaScript, Python and npm packages cover the logic prebuilt nodes cannot express.
Where does it run?SpringBrand's hosted cloud only; no self-hosted edition is published.n8n Cloud, where n8n handles hosting, updates and scaling, or your own servers via Docker, npm or a cloud provider.
Can I self-host or change the source? No. SpringBrand is a proprietary hosted service.Public source under the Sustainable Use License, Version 1.0: fair-code, not OSI-approved, limited to internal business, non-commercial or personal use.
What happens while I'm offline?Agents run in the cloud 24/7; on paid plans, schedule a task by day, by week or at a set time and results arrive in Slack, Microsoft Teams or Lark.Published workflows run from their trigger, such as the Schedule Trigger node at fixed intervals and times, on n8n Cloud or your own servers; on Cloud, executions past the plan cap queue in order.
How does it get better? Each agent learns from results and feedback and remembers your preferences, formats and usual tools for the next run.A workflow does what its nodes say until you edit it; inside it, the AI Agent node decides which connected tools to call for each task.
What can it connect to?A marketplace of ready-made Agents, Skills and 10,000+ APIs and plugins, built-in search, social, SEO and sales data, your own Gmail, Slack or HubSpot, and your company knowledge base.n8n's README cites "1500+ integrations" and its GitHub description "400+ integrations"; HTTP Request and code nodes reach other APIs.
How many jobs can run at once?1 agent at a time on Free, 2 on Plus, 5 on Pro and 20 on Max.5 concurrent production executions on Starter, 20 on Pro, "200+" on Enterprise; runs past the cap queue in order.
Who on my team can use it?Anyone with an agent's link can run it; Team plans add Owner, Admin and Member roles and pooled credits, and Enterprise adds SSO and SCIM.Every Cloud plan lists unlimited users; SSO, environments and Git sync need a paid plan.
Can I use it from Claude Code or Cursor?Yes, as a secondary entry: an MCP server and plugin bring SpringBrand's tools to Claude Code, Codex and Cursor. An instance-level MCP server exposes chosen workflows; MCP Server Trigger and MCP Client Tool nodes cover single workflows and outbound calls.
What will it cost?Paid plans from $29 a month, or $23 billed annually, for 3,000 credits; Pro $59 for 12,000 and Max $199 for 30,000; an agent task uses about 15–40 credits.Executions on n8n Cloud, one per whole workflow run however many steps: Starter from 20€ a month billed annually for 2,500 executions.
Where can I start for free?Free plan: 300 credits on signup, then 100 a month; no credit card, 1 agent at a time.No permanently free Cloud plan; the self-hosted Community edition has no licence fee.

01 / Build an agent in chat

Describe the job in chat.
Or fill in a form.

Tell SpringBrand what you need in plain language. It proposes the agent's setup, you confirm it, and the same conversation becomes the agent you run again — with its instructions, its tools and what it learned from earlier runs. There are no nodes to wire and no credentials to map step by step.

Prefer to set it up yourself? Fill in the same four parts in a form: instructions, data sources (APIs), connected apps such as Gmail or Google Sheets, and skills. n8n gives you step-by-step control on a canvas instead, which is the better trade when every step must be fixed and auditable.

02 / Marketplace: Agents, Skills & APIs

Agents, Skills and APIs.
One subscription, one bill.

The SpringBrand marketplace has three shelves: ready-made Agents by function — Sales, Marketing, HR and more — Skills that add expertise such as financial modelling, and APIs for data and tools. Start from a ready-made agent, or add a skill or API to your own.

Credits work across 10,000+ APIs and plugins. Search, social, SEO and sales data are built in — no API keys, including official Ahrefs and Semrush API access — so ten tool subscriptions and ten bills become one subscription and one bill.

n8n's README speaks of "1500+ integrations" while its GitHub description says "400+ integrations", so check the live n8n directory and the SpringBrand marketplace for the exact system and action you depend on.

03 / Company knowledge base

Add your company docs.
Get work that fits.

Upload documents, guidelines and product material to a company knowledge base, and agents follow that context in their answers and output. Connect Gmail, Google Sheets, Slack or HubSpot once, and the agent reads from and writes to them inside the permissions you set.

A useful agent ends in something your team can use: a status report, a brief, a cleaned-up list. On n8n Cloud each run of the whole workflow is one execution, however many steps it has; on SpringBrand the task is metered in credits. Run the same job on both, check the result, and note what each run cost.

04 / Scheduled & proactive agents

Schedule it once.
Results come to you.

Schedule a task by day, by week or at a set time, and your agent runs it in the cloud while you are offline. Results and alerts land where your team works — Slack, Microsoft Teams or Lark — and you can @mention the agent in a channel to hand over the next task.

Plus includes 3 daily scheduled tasks, Pro 20 that can run every 15 minutes and Max unlimited every 5 minutes. In n8n, a workflow runs from its trigger, such as the Schedule Trigger node, and on Cloud production executions beyond the plan cap wait in a first-in, first-out queue.

Each run teaches the agent your preferences, formats and usual tools, so later runs need fewer corrections. Start with a draft you review, then let the schedule take over once the output is right.

Work in Claude Code?
Bring SpringBrand with you.

Most teams build and run agents in SpringBrand itself. If you already work in Claude Code, Codex or Cursor, SpringBrand also runs as an MCP server and plugin there, with the same tools and data sources.

n8n approaches MCP from the workflow side: its instance-level MCP server exposes workflows you choose to any client, the MCP Server Trigger node turns one workflow into a server, and the MCP Client Tool node lets an n8n agent call other servers. The two can sit side by side.

n8n prices in EUR and SpringBrand in USD; nothing is converted. n8n figures read 2 September 2026 and re-checked 23 September 2026. What changes the cost of an AI agent workflow?

When comparing SpringBrand vs n8n pricing, work backward from a representative task. Record the full path to an acceptable result, then estimate the workload you expect each month.

01

Model usage

Compare the model and amount of context used for the same task. A short summary and a long research session can consume very different amounts of inference.

02

Tool calls

Include the API and plugin actions needed to reach an output, plus any retries. A subscription price alone does not describe the cost of an agent workflow, and n8n Cloud counts whole workflow executions while SpringBrand counts credits, so price the same job end to end.

03

Run frequency

Estimate how often the job will run and who will use it. Check included usage, concurrency limits and top-up terms against that workload.

Choose for your team

Which one fits you?

Find yourself below. Many teams end up using both.

Pick SpringBrand if you are…

Someone who wants the result of a job without building, hosting or maintaining a workflow.

  • An ops or growth lead who spends more time fixing workflows than reading what they produce.
  • A data analyst who wants yesterday's orders checked and summarized in Slack every morning.
  • A marketer who wants lost rankings explained and content briefs drafted every Monday, without wiring nodes.
  • Using both: a team that keeps n8n for deterministic plumbing — webhooks, syncs, self-hosted data flows — and runs research and reporting agents in SpringBrand.
Explore SpringBrand

Stay with n8n if you are…

A team that wants workflow automation it can inspect step by step and host itself.

  • An engineering team whose data has to stay on its own servers; the Community edition self-hosts with no licence fee.
  • A developer who wants JavaScript and Python steps beside visual nodes.
  • A company where many people use the workflows but runs are few; Cloud plans price executions, not seats.
  • An automation builder running fixed, high-volume flows that must behave the same way every time.

Switching from n8n

Move one workflow.
Keep what matters.

n8n workflows do not share a format with other automation tools, so switching is a rebuild rather than an export. Start with the workflows that do research, reporting or screening — the ones whose input changes every run — and write down what each takes in, what it calls and what a good result looks like.

Rebuild one of them as a SpringBrand agent, in chat or with the form. Run both in parallel for a week before you switch the old workflow off, and only switch once the agent's output is as good and the schedule fits. Workflows that depend on self-hosting or custom code may be better left in n8n.

  1. 01

    Pick the right workflow

Start with a workflow that does research, reporting, writing or screening. Fixed syncs, webhooks and self-hosted data flows may be better left in n8n.

  2. 02

    Trigger & result

Write down what starts the workflow, its inputs and what a good result looks like. Describe that job to SpringBrand in plain language.

  3. 03

    Tools & connections

Map each n8n node or credential to an available SpringBrand capability. Reconnect accounts through the supported setup flow; check read and write permissions.

  4. 04

    Context & knowledge

Identify the documents and reference material the task actually needs and add them to the company knowledge base; do not assume they transfer automatically.

  5. 05

Run in parallel, then switch off

Run the agent alongside the n8n workflow for a week, then set its schedule. Turn the workflow off only after matching results; check time zones, duplicate runs and usage costs.

Manual evaluation and setup. No automatic n8n import is offered here.
