What this skill helps with
OpenClaw’s Blog Watcher skill describes the blogwatcher CLI for maintaining a list of blogs and checking their RSS or Atom feeds. It includes commands to scan for updates, list articles and mark reading progress.
When to use it
Use it to follow a set of product blogs, publications or research feeds. It is useful for a recurring research workflow when the surrounding runtime actually schedules the scans.
What to bring
Provide the blog or feed URLs and the sources you want to track. The skill requires the blogwatcher binary; a scan checks the sources already added to its local collection.
What to expect
Expect a list of tracked blogs, articles discovered by a scan and a manageable reading queue. Opening this catalogue does not start monitoring; the feed preview is a fictional example.
How the skill works
Build the source list
Add the blogs to track and inspect the configured list. Use meaningful labels so the origin of each article is clear.
Scan and inspect new articles
Run a feed scan and examine the article list. Distinguish newly discovered posts from articles that were already known.
Maintain the reading queue
Mark articles as read after reviewing them. Keep feed removal and bulk read-status changes within the requested scope.
