SpringBrandvsPipedream

A Pipedream Workflows alternative.
Move the job before March 31.

Pipedream Workflows stops on March 31, 2027 and its data is deleted by April 30. For recurring business jobs, describe the work in SpringBrand, review one run and put the agent on a schedule.

THE SHORT VERSION

Workflows is ending.
Connect is not.

Choose a code-first or webhook runtime when a workflow processes events from providers such as Stripe or GitHub in code within seconds, or depends on npm or pip packages and exact control over every request.

Choose SpringBrand when the workflow is a recurring job that ends in a report, a summary or a Slack update, and you would rather describe it once and let an agent run it on a schedule than port its code steps.

THE PRACTICAL DIFFERENCES

Your questions, answered side by side.

Pipedream Workflows is a developer tool with code steps and HTTP triggers; SpringBrand is an agent builder for jobs you can describe. Each row is a question Pipedream users ask before March 31, 2027.

01 / BUILD AN AGENT

Describe the job in chat.
Or fill in four parts.

Tell SpringBrand the job in plain language. It proposes the agent's setup — instructions, data sources, connected apps and skills — you confirm, and the same conversation becomes the agent's runner.

Prefer a form? Fill in the same four parts yourself. Your Pipedream export shows what goes where: the data a workflow reads becomes data sources, the apps it calls become connected apps, and its code steps become plain-language instructions.

  • In chat: describe the job and confirm the proposed setup
  • In a form: instructions, data sources, connected apps, skills
  • Run it once, review the result, then save it as an agent

Working in Claude Code?
Call SpringBrand from there too.

This is an extra way in, not the main one: SpringBrand's MCP server and plugin let Claude Code, Codex or Cursor call the same APIs and plugins, paid from the same credit balance.

If your product already uses Pipedream Connect or its MCP servers, nothing changes there: Pipedream says Connect is fully supported. This page is about Workflows.

03 / PROACTIVE AGENTS

It keeps working,
while you do something else.

Hand over a task and it keeps going in the cloud, 24/7, without you watching the page. A run can last up to 15 minutes on Plus, 60 minutes on Pro and 4 hours on Max.

A schedule, a teammate, an @mention in Slack or, on Pro and Max, an API key can start an agent, and several can run at once: 2 on Plus, 5 on Pro and 20 on Max.

04 / MARKETPLACE

Agents, Skills and APIs.
One subscription, one bill.

The marketplace has three shelves: ready-made Agents by function, such as Sales, Marketing and HR; Skills that add expertise, such as financial modelling; and APIs for data and tools. Credits work across 10,000+ APIs and plugins.

Ten tool subscriptions and ten bills become one subscription and one bill. Search, social, SEO and sales data are built in with no API keys to manage, including official Ahrefs and Semrush API access.

List the apps each workflow touches and check them before you move the job. Pipedream deletes Workflows credentials and OAuth tokens by April 30, 2027, so connect Gmail, Slack, HubSpot or other accounts again in SpringBrand and check the actions each one allows.

05 / COMPANY KNOWLEDGE

Bring your company docs.
It gets better every run.

Upload documents, guidelines and product material to a company knowledge base, so the agent's answers and output follow your company's context.

Agents also improve after every run from the results and the feedback you give them, and remember your team's preferences and output formats.

Pipedream's export gives you each workflow's structure as JSON. Use it to list inputs, apps and outputs, then describe that job to SpringBrand instead of porting the code line by line.

06 / SCHEDULED AGENTS

By day, by week or at a set time.
Results arrive where you work.

Schedule a task once and the agent runs it on time, every time, even while you are offline. Results and alerts are pushed to Slack, Microsoft Teams or Lark, such as a daily orders summary or a weekly channel digest.

Scheduled tasks: 3 daily on Plus, 20 every 15 minutes on Pro, unlimited every 5 minutes on Max. Pro and Max can also start an agent with an API key.

Run the agent beside the Pipedream workflow for a week and compare the outputs, then let the schedule take over and switch the workflow off.

What changes the cost of an AI agent?

Work backward from one job: how often it runs, how many steps and apps it uses and how long it takes. That gives you the plan, the number of scheduled tasks and the credits you need.

01

Run frequency

Count how often each workflow runs today. That decides how many scheduled tasks you need and how often they run.

02

Work per run

An agent task uses about 15–40 credits depending on steps, tools and run time. A short summary uses less than a long research run.

03

Parallel work

If several jobs run at the same time, check how many agents your plan runs at once: 2 on Plus, 5 on Pro, 20 on Max.

CHOOSE FOR YOUR TEAM

Which way of working fits you?

Not every Pipedream workflow should become an agent. Find the description that sounds like you.

Move to SpringBrand if you are…

An ops or growth lead whose Pipedream workflows end in a report, a summary or a Slack update that a person reads.

  • A finance or data analyst who wrote a code step to total orders or file invoices and would rather describe the job than maintain it.
  • A small team that wants built-in search, SEO and sales data without managing API keys or separate tool bills.
  • A developer who wants recurring jobs to run on a schedule, or from an API key on Pro and Max, with results in Slack or Teams.
Explore SpringBrand

Move to another kind of tool if you are…

Handling webhooks from providers such as Stripe or GitHub that must be processed in code within seconds: choose a code-first or webhook runtime.

  • Relying on custom code steps, npm or pip packages, or exact control over every request: choose a code-first platform.
  • Required to self-host the runtime or keep it in your own cloud account: choose a self-hosted tool.
  • Using only Pipedream Connect, MCP servers or the API proxy: stay on Pipedream, and add SpringBrand for the reporting jobs if you need them.

SWITCHING FROM PIPEDREAM

Move one workflow.
Well before March 31.

Existing workflows keep running until March 31, 2027, so you can test a replacement side by side. Use Pipedream's export tool, which downloads each project's workflow structure as JSON, before the data is deleted on April 30.

Pick a scheduled workflow that ends in a report or update and describe it to SpringBrand. Run both in parallel for a week before you switch the Pipedream workflow off; when the results match, save the agent and schedule it.

  1. 01

    Export every project

Run Pipedream's export tool for each project and keep the JSON. It is your list of triggers, apps and steps.

  2. 02

    Sort the workflows

Mark which ones end in a report, summary or update (agent candidates) and which are webhook or code pipelines (code-first tools).

  3. 03

    Describe and reconnect

Describe each agent candidate to SpringBrand and reconnect its apps; Pipedream credentials are deleted by April 30, 2027.

  4. 04

    Run side by side

Run the agent and the workflow in parallel for a week and compare results, then schedule the agent and turn off the workflow before March 31.

Manual rebuild. Pipedream exports cannot be imported into SpringBrand; code steps are not converted.
